Interesting facts about me

I'm Jody, and I had Taffy, a spaniel for 13 years. Of those 13, she had diabetes for just under 6 years. Two shots a day soon became 'old hat'. She got used to the routine and as long as she got her milkbone when we were done - she was all good! Taffy was a great companion to our two kids growing up and even though we got her for the kids - she was never very far from me. Diabetes made our bond even stronger and I soon went from not knowing a thing about diabetes to shooting my dog twice a day with insulin. Taff rec'd her wings in December, 2007 - due to kidney failure.

I now have 2 resident cats, Lacey a 10 yr old tuxedo DSH and Eli a yr old tiger DSH who I fostered a year ago and became so attached to him, we decided to adopt the little stinker. He is all kitten and constantly in trouble. He is also fearless. Loves to pick on dogs.

I work at home and am fostering dogs this year for a wonderful organization called Adopt A Pet. I am located in mid-Michigan.

Aw thanks Gayle! That was sweet of you. I will pop in once in awhile. Yes, Taffy is always with me. She was half cocker/half brittany and totally spoiled! Damn diabetes - but we did our best for her, for 6 yrs. I love looking at your cocker - they have the sweetest faces!
